Petros Moris (Greece) is a visual artist based in Athens. His work deals with the dynamics between manifestations of memory, entropic processes and the anthropogenic concept of the future. This aesthetic inquiry looks at the stratifications of the material, technological and cultural environments, as well as the fateful entanglements between natural and social phenomena. His practice develops mainly through sculptural production and writing, as well as through a network of artistic, curatorial and publishing collaborations.

During his residency at Delfina Foundation (the final 4 weeks of his pandemic-interrupted residency in March 2020), Petros will focus on the development of his artistic research around the geological and mythological aspects of underground space, and its relationships to processes of urban transformation and the imaginary of technological advancement.

Petros has presented his work in solo shows at: Galeria Duarte Sequeira, Radio Athènes, Project Native Informant, SPACE, DUVE Berlin, Union Pacific, Point Centre for Contemporary Art, the Embassy of Cyprus in Athens, Onassis Culture, and ROOM E-10 27; as well as in group shows including: ECLIPSE, 7th Athens Biennale, Athens, 2021; Singapore Biennale, Singapore, 2019; The Same River Twice, Benaki Museum, Athens 2019; Fast Forward Festival 6, Onassis Cultural Center, Athens 2019; Tomorrows, Le Lieu Unique, Nantes 2019; The 4th New Museum Triennial, New Museum, New York 2018; Geometries, Agricultural University, Athens, 2018; The Equilibrists, Benaki Museum, Athens 2016; Roy Da Prince, Futura, Prague 2016; Architecture Undigested, Fused Space, San Francisco, 2014; and Afresh, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens 2013.

He has been part of the art collective KERNEL and the curatorial collaborations SIM and Radical Reading. He was nominated for the Deste Prize 2015 and awarded the ARTWORKS Stavros Niarchos Fellowship. He is an Onassis Foundation Scholar.
