Lara Ögel (Turkey) weaves personal history with cultural, historical, and existential archetypes to create semi-fictional, experience-oriented, atmospheric works. Fascinated by psychology, phenomenology, and constructs of spirituality, Ögel approaches objects, natural phenomena, and motifs of flora and fauna as a universal language.

During her residency at Delfina Foundation, Lara Ögel will explore the vulnerabilities of the body and the home, focusing on themes of boundaries, regeneration, and the fractured yet transformative nature of reality. Using video, sculpture, and archival materials, her research envisions collective healing and resilience in uncertain times.

Lara Ögel was born in Izmir, Turkey and lives in Istanbul, Turkey.
