Jaebum Kim, with an interest in the mechanisms of violence within society, in his work reconstructs ready-made images, often reminiscent of those in the media.

Recently Jaebum has been focusing on the multi-layered mechanisms and structures of economics from a variety of perspectives. During his time at Delfina Foundation, Jaebum employed new images of London’s financial district as a means to visualise the neoliberal landscape.

Jaebum obtained his BA Photography from Korea Shingu College (2006). He has participated in the 2009 Asian Art Biennial, Taiwan and Morality, a project at Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam. In 2012 he was awarded the Sindoh Artist Support Program Grant in Korea.

He lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.
