Asunción Molinos Gordo obtained her BFA from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2003 where she also pursued a Master in Contemporary Art Theory and Practice in 2006. Her work focuses on the socio-cultural implications of food and agriculture. She employs photography, video, installation and other media to explore the rural sphere and issues of peasantry from a transnational approach.
Asunción’s projects have been shown in Europe and the Middle East at venues including Darat Al Funun, The Townhouse Gallery, La Casa Encendida, Museo Patio Herreriano, CAB, La Fábrica and Arnolfini.
She currently lives and works between Cairo, Muscat and her hometown in Spain, Guzmán.
