Teresa Calonje (UK associate) is a researcher and curator with a specific interest in the question of collecting live art. Calonje has a background in Art History (Complutense, Madrid) and Political Economy and Development Studies (SOAS, London) and is currently a PhD candidate at Goldsmiths College focusing her research in the live and the existential and legal implications of its ownership and use.
Recently, she published Live Forever. Collecting Live Art (2014, Koenig Books) a collection of essays and interviews exploring the issues in the acquisition and conservation of performance works. She is currently curating a series of performances for Second Home, London.
While at Delfina Foundation Calonje presents a public programme event to discuss questions of collecting and appropriating live art, in addition to developing aspects of her PhD thesis.
