Kamruzzaman Shadhin (Bangladesh) explores the relationship between land, community, and memory through installation and material-based processes. Rooted in rural Bangladesh, his interdisciplinary practice examines agrarian histories, migration, and the politics of landscape, working with vernacular materials and collective knowledge to connect personal memory with broader ecological and social transformations.

While in residence at Delfina Foundation, Shadhin will investigate textile histories and their entanglement with social and ecological memory, situating traditional practices within contemporary frameworks. He is interested in exploring the historical and cultural trajectories of jute between Bengal and Britain, tracing its connections to labor, trade and colonial networks.

Shadhin has participated in notable international exhibitions including: Safar, Bukhara Biennale, Uzbekistan (2025); Haven is Elsewhere, Kulturhuset Stockholm, Sweden (2025); Lost Shadows, Lahore Biennale, Pakistan (2024); Kaal, with Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts, at Baltic Center for Contemporary Art (2023) and Frieze London, UK (2024); Pathraj Chronicles, Museum Macan, Jakarta (2023); Irrelevant Field Notes, Dhaka Art Summit (2023); The River Remembers, Islamic Arts Biennale, Jeddah (2023); Bhumi with Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts, Kochi-Muziris Biennale (2022); Fibrous Souls, with Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts, Asia Pacific Triennale, Queensland Art Gallery and Museum of Modern Art, Brisbane (2022); and Lost Shadows, with Gidree Bawlee Foundation of Arts and Salma Jamal Moushum Museo Madre, Naples (2021). Kamruzzaman Shadhin is an alumnus of the University of Dhaka.
