Intizor Otaniyozova’s (Uzbekistan) work, through videos, installations and writing tries to understand what identity, ecology, feminism and Beyoncé mean to her and hopefully to the world. Intizor’s biggest project in development is a creative documentary about the ongoing genocide of Uyghurs “Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Side Chicks”.

During her residency at Delfina Foundation, Intizor is planning to communicate more with the Uyghur diaspora in London. This currently includes visiting Uyghur restaurants and the West End. 

Intizor has participated in exhibitions in various countries across Asia and Europe. Selected exhibitions include Women Speak: Art Against Injustice, Almaty, Kazakhstan, 2024; Don’t miss the cue, Venice Biennale, 2024; I inherit what you lost, Szczecin, Poland and Prague, Czech Republic, 2024; Chilltan, at documenta 15, 2022; and Air conditioner not working, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, 2022. Intizor was born in Uzbekistan and is currently based in Central Asia.
