Doreen Chan (Hong Kong) is an artist whose practice re-examines the tensions between interpersonal relationships and personal memory. By selecting and reorganising fragments from both her own and others’ everyday lives, she experiments with how individuals interact with personal memories within collective memories. Doreen’s work spans site-specific installations, virtual platforms, and public programmes, and she often collaborates with a diverse range of individuals.

At Delfina Foundation, Doreen will focus on developing a neurodiverse online support platform for art professionals, driven by her experiences following an ADHD diagnosis. The project will foster peer sharing, professional support, and long-term reflection for individuals navigating neurodiversity within the arts.

Doreen has exhibited at institutions such as Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, Times Museum in Guangzhou, Art Omi in New York, and Para Site in Hong Kong. In 2023, her commissioned project Sipping Dreams inaugurated Tai Kwun Contemporary’s V Hall, and she was recognised as one of ArtReview China’s Future Greats. Chan was an Eyebeam fellow in 2021 and a finalist for the 4th VH Award of Hyundai Motor Group.

Doreen was born in Hong Kong and is based in New York, USA.
