Abeer Sultan (Saudi Arabia), in her artistic and curatorial practice, explores themes of memory, decay, and preservation; examining how these concepts manifest in both personal and collective narratives. In essence, Abeer seeks to question the politics of memory and identity, inviting an exploration of the invisible threads that connect us all.

Inspired by the Nollywood film, The Return of Beyonce, Abeer aims to research the portrayal of Black people in Kaleeji Soap Operas and literature. During her time in London, she will explore the impact this representation has had on her personal upbringing, through composing music and developing lyrics for a stop-motion music video.

Abeer recently completed an MA in Museum Studies at SOAS University of London (2025) and holds a BA in Graphic Design and Digital Media from Princess Noura University (2021). Her artwork has been showcased in exhibitions across Europe and the Middle East, including  Time heals, just not quick enough… at Efiɛ Gallery, London (2025); In The Night at Saudi Arabian Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMOCA) (2024); Refracted Identities, Shared Futures, Noor Riyadh Festival (2023);and New Wave Exhibition, Misk Art Institute x Berlin Art Institute, 2022. She founded self-initiative Estirah alongside Mbarak Madhi in 2023 and has curated exhibitions including Digital Garden, Estirah (2025), and Leftovers, Estirah (2024).

Abeer was born, lives, and works in Riyadh, KSA.
