We’re thrilled to see our Director, Aaron Cezar, on ArtReview’s Power 100, a list of the most influential people in 2024 in the contemporary art world.
ArtReview notes, “The Power 100 list is an annual tally of who and what made art happen during the past 12 months. It’s a structural portrait of international contemporary art, identifying and accounting for the figures and faces who have created, inspired and crafted the art we see.”
The list highlights a critical year for us as we embark on ‘A Home for Artists‘, our fundraising campaign to save our London home and build a future for Delfina and the global networks that we are honoured to be part of.
In the listing, ArtReview recognises our impact globally. Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Panama, Uzbekistan, Egypt and Azerbaijan all had artists representing them at the 2024 Venice Biennale who have passed through Delfina Foundation.
Whether in the UK or abroad, the Delfina family continues to make its mark on the artistic ecosystem as many ‘alumni’ and members of our Global Council were also featured on the list. This includes Wael Shawky (2011 resident), Haegue Yang (former Delfina Studios Trust resident), Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme (international artists-in-residence in 2009), Alia Swastika (2016 resident), Nadia & Rajeeb Samdani (Global Council), and Yan Du (Founding Director of Asymmetry Art Foundation).
