Mutant is a rA/Ve, an audio-visual presentation by Delfina Foundation artist-in-residence Derek Tumala, emerging from his ongoing research on climate, mutation and rice.

Mutant is also a house party, where Derek invites you to come and hang out over rice, drinks, moving image, light, and sounds from collaborator Soft Limit.

Derek will be sharing a large pot of Bilo-Bilo with guests, a Filipino warm rice dessert.

This event forms part of the public programme of Delfina Foundation’s fifth season of the Politics of Food, in partnership with Gaia Art Foundation and with additional support from a range of individuals and partners.

Soft Limit is A.X. Ledesma, a writer, musician, and artist from Manila, Philippines. His work has appeared in various forms across multiple platforms and is largely concerned with investigating intersections between practices and how emergent cultural practices are shaped by material realities. He is currently pursuing an MA in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths.
