Artist Patricia Domínguez introduces her new co-commissioned installation on show at Wellcome Collection. Arising out of her archival research, the work is comprised of five futuristic totems dedicated to archival plants and pre-Columbian knowledge.
Patricia Domínguez (Chile) was selected in 2019 for a 12-week residency at Delfina Foundation, in partnership with Wellcome Collection. As part of the residency Patricia was invited to engage with Wellcome and Kew Gardens’ botanical collections and archives related to Latin America, in order to contribute to exhibitions at Wellcome Collection and La Casa Encendida, Madrid.
