Watch Ranim AlHalaky introduce her interdisciplinary practice during her residency at Delfina Foundation as part of the 2026 Winter Season.
Ranim shares insights into her work across art, design, storytelling and material research, exploring questions of home, migration and movement through family archives, textiles and inherited traditions. She reflects on the recordings of her grandmother, Omaya, which have become a recurring thread throughout her practice.
During her residency at Delfina, Ranim explores London as a site of collecting through walking, archival research and encounters with fellow residents. She discusses new work with cyanotype, textiles and water, and considers how these experiences are opening up new chapters in her ongoing exploration of belonging and being in transit.
residency was supported by the Rambourg Foundation with additional assistance from Delfina Foundation’s Network of Patrons for the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
