Join artist Kelly Jin Mei for an intimate ‘Unmaking’ workshop exploring slowness, labour and release through finger knitting.

As part of the closing event for Making and Materiality, we are extending Kelly Jin Mei’s workshop into a public session that responds directly to her residency research and recent material explorations at Delfina Foundation. The day brings together an afternoon workshop followed by an evening talk, marking the culmination of the season’s exploration of handmade practices.

Taking place in the afternoon ahead of the evening programme, the workshop continues Kelly’s interest in making as a process of translation, where gesture, repetition and material encounter become ways of thinking through archival fragments and embodied knowledge. Rather than a standalone activity, it forms part of a shared day of closing programming.

No prior experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.

Please note that there is another event taking place in the evening. This event is currently sold out. You can join the waitlist here.

Kelly Jin Mei’s residency is supported by Delfina’s Network of Asia-Pacific Patrons with additional support from The Institutum and E-Len Fu.
