Art14 London is the second edition of London’s global art fair sponsored by Citi Private Bank. Hailed as a refreshingly different approach last year, its provides a platform for some of the worlds best modern and contemporary art.

This year Delfina Foundation will present two works by current artist-in-residence Gayle Chong KwanWastescape (2012) is a vast collection of plastic bottles and food packaging items, predominantly discarded or recycled, crafted into an immersive installation. Inspiration for the work comes from the creativity and innovation of the residents of Moravia, a neighbourhood in Medellin, Colombia which is built on the city’s unofficial rubbish dump. Babel (2004) comes from a photographic series which brings together geographical, historical monuments and landscapes in one impossible and ultimately overbearing paradise island created from food. The piece explores utopian ideals of paradise and the presentation of the exotic in global tourism, European legend and the history of Fine Art.
