A.i.R Dubai 2016 artist Moza Almatrooshi will engage in a conversation with Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim (A.i.R Dubai resident in 2015) to discuss points of similarity in their work, his views on land art and how the changes in the UAE have influenced his art, and her own.
BIOGRPAHIES
Moza Almatrooshi is a BA holder of the Fine Arts and Creative Enterprises degree in Zayed University, Dubai, specialized in Interior Design (2013). From then Almatrooshi developed an interest in human relationships with different spatial conditions in the UAE. With an interest for art as well as design Almatrooshi worked in both fields; and gained experiences in architecture, design, event planning, art exhibitions, and wrote for several independent publications. Moza Almatrooshi’s current role being an exhibition coordinator in 1971 – Design Space in Sharjah, as well as recently graduating from the Sheikha Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship.
Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim was born in Khorfakkan, UAE in 1962. His work has been exhibited internationally, including the Sharjah Biennial in 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2007, the 2009 Venice Biennale, the Dhaka Biennial in 2002 and 1993, the 2000 Havana Biennial, the 1998 Cairo Biennial, and the Institut du Monde Arabe in 1998. Ibrahim also participated in A.i.R Dubai in 2015.
