Delfina Foundation appoints a Deputy Director
Delfina Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Philp as Deputy Director.
Joining the team from 19 June 2023, Sarah will work with Delfina Foundation’s Director on the development of strategy, governance, programmes, partnerships, and fundraising, to help ensure a sustainable long-term future for the organisation and to deliver on and further develop its mission.
Prior to joining Delfina, Sarah was Director of Programme and Policy at Art Fund, where she led on the development and delivery of the charity’s grants programmes, museum and gallery support, and sector policy and research. She worked with partners nationwide across the museum and visual arts sectors – recently launching new research and funding to support the sector in its recovery from Covid-19.
Sarah is a founding member of the Association of Women in the Arts, has advised organisations including the King’s Cross Knowledge Quarter and the Churches Conservation Trust, mentored for Arts Emergency, and served as a trustee for the Association for Art History and Michael Clark Company.
“We are thrilled that Sarah will be joining our close-knit team as we continue to evolve and adapt our mission and philosophy of care to enable creative practitioners to develop their work, take risks and engage audiences. We look forward to drawing on Sarah’s advocacy and passion for the arts, and her wealth of experience of working with organisations across strategy, governance, policy, partnerships, and fundraising, in order to sustain as well as grow our work at Delfina Foundation.” – Aaron Cezar, Director, Delfina Foundation.
“Delfina Foundation’s mission to support artistic practice and international dialogue has never been more important than it is today. I am thrilled to be joining such a visionary and dedicated team and organisation, and cannot wait to get started.” – Sarah Philp, newly appointed Deputy Director, Delfina Foundation.
