Egyptian artist Mahmoud Khaled and Brazilian artist Claudio Bueno have been awarded the Videobrasil em Contexto residency, in collaboration with Casa Tomada, SESC, Videobrasil and Delfina Foundation. Starting mid-September 2012, the artists will be in residence in both São Paulo and London over three months. They will both be making new works that respond to Videobrasil’s extensive archive, which will showcase at the 30th Anniversary of the International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil in October 2013.
