4 – 7 October 2018

Four Delfina artists (Vivian Caccuri, Pratchaya Phinthong, Liz Glynn, and Alex Baczynski-Jenkins) presented performance works as part at Frieze London 2018.

Through a partnership with Frieze LIVE Delfina Foundation supported the development of three artists’ presentations in the programme at the fair, Vivian Caccuri, Pratchaya Phinthong, and Liz Glynn.

Titled “Control ~” (“Control Tilde”) – a keyboard command that makes visible all formulas in a spreadsheet – the programme was curated by Diana Campbell Betancourt (Samdani Art Foundation/Dhaka Art Summit) who selected works by thirteen international artists, which drew attention to unexpected connections and hidden formulas which impact wider social, political and economic realities.

As winner of the Frieze 2018 Artist Award, Alex Baczynski-Jenkins, presented a newly commissioned choreographic work – the prize for the accolade alongside a residency at Delfina Foundation. For the commission, Alex continued his choreographic practice engaging with queer relationality and the politics of desire, intimacy and friendship.
