In 2008, The Delfina Foundation commissioned a collection of contemporary photographic perspectives on the Kurdish experience to mark the 15th anniversary of the Kurdish Human Rights Project (KHRP).

This book brings together images by world-famous photographers to celebrate the life and times of the Kurdish people over the last two decades.

Susan Meiseles, Ed Kashi, Olivia Heussler, and Jan Grarup are just three of these photographers, featured in the book, whose images have touched on the beauty and vibrant heritage of the Kurds, whilst traveling there to document the harsh realities of existence, as the Kurds are continuously denied the right of land, from every direction.
