Delfina Foundation selects artists, writers and curators for its residency programme in two main ways.

Artist-in-residence Binelde Hyrcan, Delfina Foundation, 2017.

Our selection process varies depending on the specific residency programme, partner, funder, and place.

Our residents are selected via:

  1. Open calls for applications, which are reviewed competitively by a jury of art professionals.
  2. Solicited proposals or nominations from liked-minded institutions, artist networks, or organisations, which are assessed by a selection panel based on availability.

Current and upcoming opportunities are posted in the open calls section of our website. Application forms are made available during the period for these solicited proposals, and each application includes the terms of the residency and funding available, if appropriate. Unsolicited proposals will not be considered.

Due to the volume of enquiries, we are unable to respond to requests for information about our open calls. The best way to hear of new oppurtunities is to subscribe to our newsletter, and follow us on social media (InstagramFacebook and Twitter).
