Between 2011-2014 Delfina Foundation was part of a collaboration to support two annual research fellowships with the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA), Iniva (Institute of International Visual Arts) and Goldsmiths Department of Visual Cultures PhD Programme in Curatorial/Knowledge. In 2013, SAHA joined the collaboration.

The Research Fellowship aimed to provide an opportunity for intensive research in the field of visual arts by artists, curators and researchers who have an innovative visual culture project, and who might benefit from the research and curatorial work that is being done by the fellowship’s partner institutions in London. Each year, one fellow from India, funded by FICA, and one from the Middle East & North Africa were selected via a competitive open call.

Whilst staying at Delfina Foundation and participating in the residency programme, the fellows also had access to attend Goldsmith’s post-graduate courses and the Curatorial/Knowledge seminars in Goldsmiths Department of Visual Cultures, as well as access to the Stuart Hall Library and archive at Iniva. In addition both institutions provided opportunities for mentoring and tutorials.
