Young In Hong (UK associate) is a South Korean artist living and working in London. Young In develops site-specific installations, performance, embroidery paintings and drawings. Collaboration is also a crucial part of her artistic process and practice.
Currently, Young In is developing a new body of work that looks deeper at historical moments that have been treated superficially, yet represented seismic shifts in how we see the world today. She employs digital media as a means to explore democratic patterns of art-making within the neo-liberal conditions of contemporary urban life.
Young In was been selected for the forthcoming Gwangju Biennale and her research at Delfina Foundation will feed into this new work.
