Sunoj D. (India) was born in Kerala and studied painting and printmaking in Bangalore where he now lives. Sunoj’s work depicts our relationship with the land and how this is changing, with a focus on agriculture, inspired by growing up among farmland and his grandfather’s livelihood; rice farming.
His solo shows include A Forgotten Carpentry Lesson and a Love Song (2013) and Sunoj D – not dead since 1979 (2005) in Gallery SKE, Banglore and Between Land and Sky (2009) in Grosvenor Vadehra, London. Sunoj has also been involved in various international group shows, projects and residencies.
