Mariana Meneses Romero (UK associate) is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London where she is also a Visiting Tutor. She is currently studying the relationship between food and art as a critical discourse of hospitality, and her research interests include Philosophy of hospitality, Deconstruction, Edible art, Bioart, Food Studies and Feminism.

She received her B.A. in Restaurant Management (2005) from the Centro de Estudios Superiores de San Angel, and a M.A. in Art History (2010) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in Mexico City. She has previously worked as a Lecturer of Gastronomic Culture at CESSA Universidad and as a Curator in various museums in Mexico, including the José Guadalupe Posada Museum in Aguascalientes in Mexico.
