Jaffar Al Oraibi (Bahrain) is an emerging artist based whose paintings sees bright, luminous colours throughout his pieces to add an element of lightness in contrast with his use of heavy black. He also relies on symbolic depictions to represent both masculine and feminine characteristics, as well as to draw attention to more basic, primal human drives.
Jaffar’s work has been exhibited regionally including Cuadro Art Gallery, Al Riwaq Art Space, and many other venues. His work was awarded the first Prize at the Qatari Diar Art Symposium (2009).
He currently lives and works in Manama, Bahrain.
