Fathima Mohiuddin (UAE/Canada) is an artist and curator based in the UAE, with a Canadian and Indian background.
With a BA in Art & Culture from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London, Fathima explores the social value and functions of art especially in public spaces, having dedicated much time to curating exhibitions and running artist-led initiatives to create platforms for interaction amongst emerging artists.
Fathima was in residence as part of the British Council’s Cultural Leadership International programme 2010. During her residency, she conducted research by visiting artist-run spaces, festivals and making contact with artist collectives in London, hoping to promote the concept in Dubai where she lives.
