Farid Rasulov, Lions in the bedroom, 2009. Digital print on aluminium, plastification. 150 x 100 sm. Courtesy Artist and YAY Gallery, Baku, Azerbaijan.

Farid Rasulov (Azerbaijan) works in a wide range of  media – painting, installation, 3D graphic, animation and sculpture. These works often depict objects against vividly-coloured backgrounds through which the artist wishes to simply convey everyday existence as deceptively simple, particularly when viewed through the objects we surround ourselves with.

Farid became involved in visual arts following his graduation in Medicine at Azerbaijan State Medical University in 2006. He has since represented Azerbaijan at the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009).

Farid lives and works in Baku.
