Areej Huniti (Jordan) is interested in understanding our relationship to technology and ways to reconfigure it. Her current interest revolves around the intersection of virtuality and subjectivity, research and practice, the present and the absent. By weaving real elements with fiction she wishes to complexify reality while imagining different future possibilities.

During her residency at Delifna, Areej is interested in following a series of questions that focus on the materiality of the interfaces we use to connect to others. She will explore how a focus on both the physicality of digital technology and human desires, could aid a return to the body and heal the harms of techno-capitalism.
