Anannya Mehtta (India) completed her Masters in Political Science from Delhi University, and has received a diploma in filmmaking from PCFE Prague. In 2005 she received a Sarai fellowship to study non- commercial film viewing cultures in Delhi. As an independent filmmaker she has directed, scripted and produced several documentaries and short films prior to joining NDTV 24×7 (New Delhi Television) where she worked as a Assistant Producer from 2007 to 2009.

She joined the Devi Art Foundation in 2010, and has been the Assistant Curator there since and has worked on Vernacular in the Contemporary Part 1&2, Home Spun, Elephant in the Dark, and Sarai 09 exhibitions in the recent past.

Her primary area of interest lies in exploring the construction of diverse curatorial moments in different contexts and settings.

Anannya is the recipient of the second annual DELFINA-FICA Research Fellowship alongside Nadia Christidi.
