Join Tiwani Contemporary in welcoming Bérénice Saliou, independent curator and Artistic Director of the artist residency space Feddan, co-founded with artist Younès Rahmoun, and Aaron Cezar, Director of Delfina Foundation for a conversation about artist residencies in Morocco and Dubai, as well as artist Younès Rahmoun’s artistic practice.

BIOGRAPHIES

Bérénice Saliou’s curatorial practice explores the ideas of territory, public space and dialogue. She holds an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths College (2010), and has curated projects and exhibitions such as Fayd (Mohamed El Mahdaoui) Tétouan, Morocco (2009); Depth of Fields, Gallery FJ, Casablanca (2010); No Signal Found (Younès Baba Ali), Gallery Arte Contemporanea, Brussels (2011); Duty Free (Katia Kameli), Vidéochroniques, Marseilles (2012). In 2013, she was selected as Curator in Residence for  (UAE), a collaboration between Delfina Foundation, the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Tashkeel and Art Dubai.  Saliou regularly writes for magazines and publications, including Arte Contexto (Spain), Catalogue Magazine (UK), Universes in Universe (Germany). She is a regular correspondant for Dyptik magazine (Morocco).

As Director of the Moroccan organisation Feddan she co-founded with artist Younès Rahmoun, she develops its large-scale permanent residency and exhibition project Trankat, which opens in 2013 in Tétouan.
